Andreas Klotsch

Andreas Klotsch (born February 21, 1937 in Ghimbav , Transylvania ) is a German writer and literary translator .

Life

Andreas Klotsch came in 1951 to Germany and graduated in 1957 at universities in Jena , Saarbrucken , Bordeaux , Seville and Leipzig , a study of the romance languages . From 1964 he worked as a lecturer at the Volk und Welt publishing house . He has lived in Leipzig as a freelance writer and translator since 1980 .

After being in 1960 - and 1970 years a number of anthologies of the series " Explorations " issued , had Andreas Klotsch published in the 1980s some of their own narrative works -Jahren; however, the focus of his work was on translating from Portuguese , Spanish and French into German .

From 1991 to 1993, Klotsch was the holder of the Hieronymusring , a traveling award that he passed on to Ruth Achlama , sponsored by the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works, VdÜ .
