The Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH is a subsidiary of Japan's Mitsubishi-Hitachi Power Systems Group ( MHPS Group ) based in Duisburg .
The company was formed as part of the merger of the thermal power plant divisions of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (65% share in the new company) and Hitachi (35%) to form Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. , which is the sole parent company of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH .
Until January 31, 2014, the part of the Hitachi Group operated under the name Hitachi Power Europe GmbH .
Business areas and products
The company plans and builds turnkey power plants fueled by fossil fuels . The delivery program also includes core components such as grinding plants, environmental technology, large steam generators and turbines.
