The Hitachi Power Office behind the humpback bridge

The Hitachi Power Office is an office building in the inner harbor of Duisburg directly at the Buckelbrücke and the Five Boats .

The seven-storey office building in the form of a battery pack, built between 2006 and 2007, houses the German headquarters of Hitachi Power Europe with 600 employees. It was built under the direction of the Essen project developer Kölbl Kruse GmbH according to the plans of the architects Bahl und Partner Architekten from the construction company Hochtief Construction AG. Special features of the building are large glass facades and aluminum on the outer surfaces, two interior, covered atriums, a representative entrance hall and library. Two underground parking levels as well as outdoor areas offer more than 500 parking spaces for employees and visitors. An area of 22,500 m² was converted, the usable area is 16,500 m². The Hannover Leasing acquired the office complex for 45 million euros, sole tenant is the Hitachi Power Europe.

From 1894 to 1967 the Koch & Co grain warehouse was located here. During the First World War and then by a major fire, the grain silos were destroyed and then rebuilt. In 1933 a seven-storey bulk floor storage facility was built, and in 1938 a silo with a gable end. The demolition of the now dilapidated, so-called "dirty store" and an office building took place in 2004.
