Dongzhou
Dongzhou ( Chinese 东 洲 区 , Pinyin Dōngzhōu qū ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Fushun in the northeast of the Liaoning Province of the People's Republic of China . The city district has an area of 226.6 km² and 327,500 inhabitants (2010). In September 1932, the Pingdingshan massacre took place in Dongzhou .
Administrative structure
At the community level, Dongzhou is made up of eleven street districts and two communities . These are:
- Dongzhou street district (东 洲 街道), 7.38 km², 77,000 inhabitants;
- Zhangdian Street District (张 甸 街道), 12.8 km², 9,000 inhabitants;
- Dalian street district (搭 连 街道), 6.34 km², 29,000 inhabitants, seat of the city district government;
- Longfeng street district (龙凤 街道), 15.25 km², 44,000 inhabitants;
- Xintun street district (新 屯 街道), 8.97 km², 33,000 inhabitants;
- Wanxin street district (万 新 街道), 3.11 km², 34,000 inhabitants;
- Street district Laohutai (老虎 台 街道), 5.2 km², 37,000 inhabitants;
- Pingshan Street District (平 山 街道), 4.05 km², 15,000 inhabitants;
- Nanhuayuan Street District (南 花园 街道), 5.2 km², 22,000 residents;
- Street district Liushan (刘 山 街道), 4.2 km², 19,000 inhabitants;
- Zhangdang street district (章 党 街道), 35 km², 37,500 inhabitants;
- Community Qianjin (千金乡), 61.3 square kilometers, population 17,000;
- Nianpan municipality (碾盘 乡), 58 km², 9,700 inhabitants.
