The Donjek Glacier is an outlet glacier of the Kluane Icefield in the east of the Elias Range in the Canadian Yukon Territory .
The approximately 56 km long and maximally 2.4 km wide Donjek Glacier is located within the Kluane National Park . The nutrient area of the glacier is on Donjek Mountain at an altitude of over 3000 m , the lower end of the glacier is at an altitude of 1000 m . The glacier flows mainly in a north-northeast direction. It feeds the Donjek River , whose water flows over the White River and Yukon River .
The Donjek Glacier periodically blocks the outflow of the Donjek River. This creates glacial lakes that are suddenly emptied if the natural dam breaks. The Alaska Highway would be affected by such a flood disaster 50 km downstream .
