Donna Woolfolk Cross (born  1947 in New York City ) is an American writer .

Live and act

Cross grew up in New York City. After studying English literature, she worked in the publishing industry, among other things. Today she lives a few hours drive north of the city in New York State and teaches creative writing at Onondaga College. The work Die Päpstin , published in 1996, is the author's first novel , the rights of which she subsequently granted for the production of a cinema and TV film (2009) and a musical (2011). Her previous publications were non-fiction books and guides dealing with conversation training and communication .
