Double or nut ("double or nothing"), first 1-2-0, single, double or nut! , was a quiz show from TV DRS . It was broadcast from 1956 to 1959 and from 1963 to 1970. Walter Plüss , Werner Hausmann and Mäni Weber acted as moderators one after the other .

The first show ran under the name 1-2-0, eifach, dopplet or nüt! on December 9, 1956 with Walter Plüss. Until late 1957, the quiz was broadcast biweekly on Saturdays during prime time. Then the name was shortened to Dopplet or nüt and broadcast with moderator Werner Hausmann every three Friday evenings until May 18, 1959. The show became very popular under Manni Weber, who moderated the show in its relaunch from November 8, 1963 to the last edition on December 31, 1970.

The concept of Dopplet or nüt originally comes from the USA ( The $ 64,000 Question ) and was specially developed for the Swiss offshoot of the Italian program Lascia o raddoppia? modeled on. On the show, candidates had to answer questions about a specialty they chose. If the answer was correct, the winnings would be doubled, if the answer was wrong you lost everything. Two years later, the similar program Alles oder Nothing appeared on German television .
