Döbritschen village church
The Protestant village church Döbritschen is located in the municipality of Döbritschen in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Großschwabhausen in the parish of Jena the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
history
Originally the rectangular complex of a mansion protected by ramparts and moats stood in the center of the village . The church was built on the wall in 1583 as a hall church. The mansard roof and the tower dome come from the renovation in 1723. The neo-Gothic apse was added in the 19th century . Two lead-glazed windows from 1920 depict an angel and Jesus on the cross.
After extensive renovations - Horst Jahresling was the advisor at the time - the church, which had been in disrepair for years, was inaugurated again in November 1999. Remains of the pulpit altar in peasant baroque give the church its character.
