The church in Dalichow from the south

The listed village church Dalichow in the district Dalichow in the municipality Niedergörsdorf in the district Teltow-Fläming in Brandenburg is located in the middle of the field surrounded by the churchyard. The Protestant church was originally a daughter church of Eckmannsdorf, today it belongs to the municipality of Blönsdorf and thus to the church district of Wittenberg.

church

The church is a rectangular, towerless hall building built around 1300 made of processed field stones, which are arranged in horizontal rows. Windows and portals are ogival and have brick soffits. There are two portals on the south side, the western portal is larger than the other portal, this is probably a priest's gate. There is also a narrow priest gate to the east. The windows have largely been preserved, the three windows on the east side form a group of windows. The window group is repeated as a panel group in the gable area. The west side is closed.

There are two different roof structures under the gable roof. The eastern part dates from 1577, the western, larger part from 1655, both dates were determined dendrologically . The roof structures were later reinforced with intermediate rafters. The church space is closed at the top by a flat beamed ceiling, this ceiling was held by a central longitudinal beam. The substructure of the belfry is located in the western part, this area is separated from the ship by a wall. At the beginning of the 20th century, the interior of the church was redesigned.

In the church there is a wooden altarpiece from 1688 with turned columns and carved cheeks and a panel painting from the second half of the 16th century depicting the Passover meal . The font consists of a conical stone bowl and a modern, octagonal base. The age is unknown; the Middle Ages or the 16th century would be possible. The stalls date from the 17th and 18th centuries. On the north wall of the church there is a plaque commemorating those who died in the First World War . The bronze bell was cast in the 15th century.
