Darnstedt village church
The Protestant village church Darnstedt stands on the southern edge of the village on an elevated level in the district Darnstedt of the community of Niedertrebra in the district of Weimar in Thuringia . It belongs to the Bad Sulza parish in the Apolda-Buttstädt parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
history
In 1662 the predecessor building in Darnstedt was documented. The current village church in Darnstedt was built in 1769. It is a hall church with a hipped roof and a ridge turret . Arched windows are in the nave . The churchyard is surrounded by a wall.
A woad stone in front of the church reminds of the originally priority cultivation of woad .

The roof of the church is in urgent need of renovation. The roof structure and roof have to be renewed.
