Darnstedt is a district of Niedertrebra in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

geography

Darnstedt is located on the Ilm and the state road 1060 southwest of Bad Sulza in the Ilmaue and on the slight hills of the Ilm valley. The Erfurt - Berlin railway line passes north of the town . The municipal area of the town is located mostly on Aueböden or überlößten locations.

history

The village was mentioned in a document for the first time in 802–842. The place was subject to various sovereign rights. While the place was administered by the Pforta Monastery and, after its secularization in 1540, from 1543 by the Pforta Office of the Electorate of Saxony , the corridor belonged to the Ernestine Office of Roßla , which in 1572 was part of Saxe-Weimar , 1603 to Saxe-Altenburg , and again in 1672 to Saxon- Weimar and in 1741 came to Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach . As a result of the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the place became part of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach and was incorporated into the Roßla office, which was opened in the Apolda administrative district of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach in 1850 . In 1920 Darnstedt came to the state of Thuringia.

After the German reunification , the agricultural town founded the Darnstedt GmbH & Co. KG agricultural company with partners. Companies and businesses have also settled here. Anglers can fish in the waters of the Ilm with a permit.
