history
In 1836 the previous building was demolished and a new church was built in the same place. In 1900 the building burned down after a lightning strike. The current church was built in 1902 in the neo-Gothic style. In 1944 a bomb damaged the church ; the reconstruction took five years. In 1949, the regional bishop Mitzenheim consecrated the renovated church.
Nave
A three-sided gallery is built into the nave . The gallery and stalls are discreetly painted. The organ has a simple front. The pulpit is a little high in relation to the triumphal arch . The altar is restrained and stands in front of a stained glass window with a representation of the resurrection of Christ . In 1978 a winter church was set up on the organ gallery.
The three steel bells that replaced the bells melted down during the First World War in 1919 survived the Second World War undamaged.
