The small Protestant village church in the district of Kötschau of the community Großschwabhausen in the district of Weimarer Land in Thuringia is located on the southern edge of the small town. It belongs to the parish Großschwabhausen in the parish of Jena the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

From the late Gothic hall church , a choir tower church , a baroque church with a simple pulpit altar , two galleries , a baptismal font from the 16th century, as well as an altar and pulpit emerged in the 18th century .

Today a heated winter church is set up under the organ gallery .
