history

The current church stands in the place of the previous church, which was first mentioned in a document in 1228. It was built in 1744–1747. The free-standing pulpit altar as well as the three-sided galleries and the boxes for the cartridge also date from this time . From 1749–50 the organ was installed by Justinus Ehrenfried Gerhard from Lindig . Four continuous columns on the west side next to the organ support the roof house . During the restoration in the 1980s, Horst Jahresling was the consultant.

The bells are next to the church. They are steel bells that were housed in 2005. They proclaim: Be patient in tribulation; Happy in hope; Keep praying.
