Village church in Schlunkendorf

The Protestant village church Schlunkendorf is a hall church in Schlunkendorf , a district of the town of Beelitz in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark in the state of Brandenburg .

The building was built in the first half of the 18th century. In 1958 the parish renovated the nave and in 1978 the west tower .

The plastered hall building has a strictly rectangular floor plan. Access is via a simple portal on the south side of the church. Above it is a small, beehive-shaped window. Its shape is taken from the two larger windows on the left and another window on the right of the portal. The north side has four such openings, the choir only one. The wooden west tower is provided with simple sound arcades on three sides . Above that there is a kinked tower helmet , which ends with a ball and a weather vane.

Inside there is a horseshoe gallery and a pulpit from the time the church was built.

The church stands in the churchyard, which is still used today as a village cemetery .
