Schwickershausen village church
The Evangelical Lutheran village church of Schwickershausen is located in the Schwickershausen district of the Grabfeld community in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish in Bibra Kirchenkreis Meiningen the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
history
The church was built in 1793 on a small hill near the village school. Before that there was a previous church in the same place for about 200 years.
Furnishing
The pulpit altar and about on a dais standing organ of Johann Michael Wagner from Schmiedefeld was installed 1800's. Meanwhile restored makes woodworm infestation , the instrument only limited playable.
