Doris Schneider

Doris Schneider (* 9. September 1934 in Berlin , † 21st February 2011 ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Schneider studied history and German at the Free University of Berlin , completing her studies in 1960 with the state examination. In 1972 she joined the SPD and mainly dealt with school policy issues. She was elected to the Reinickendorf District Assembly in 1979 and moved to the Berlin House of Representatives in 1985 , to which she was a member until 1995. From 1982 she was a member of the state executive and until 1986 of the party council of the SPD.

Doris Schneider was, among other things, a member of the Workers' Welfare Association and the Board of Trustees of the Lette Association . She was married and had two children. In February 2011 she died after a long and serious illness.
