Doris Schuck

Doris Schuck (born January 25, 1958 in Munich ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Between December 1977 and June 1982, Schuck made 61 international matches for the Federal Republic of Germany. She participated with the German selection in Poland in 1978 and in Italy in 1981 in the European Championship finals.

At club level, she played for Lotus Munich and competed in the Bundesliga for 18 years . She won the German championship title in 1992 and the German cup competition four times in the course of her career. Eight times she was German runner-up with Lotus. After her time at Lotus Munich, Schuck was a player (four of them as a player-coach) at MTSV Schwabing for six years , sometimes in the second Bundesliga.

From 2001 onwards Schuck, who worked as a teacher at a grammar school, was involved as a trainer in the youth work of MTV 1879 Munich , and she also looked after the MTV women, which led from the district league to the regional league. Her and her husband László Baierle, who became the head of MTV's basketball division, is credited with bringing basketball forward significantly at MTV in the 2000s and 2010s.
