The Dormaa Municipal District is a district of the Bono Region in Ghana . It was created in 2006 when the Dormaa District was divided into Dormaa East District , Dormaa West District and Dormaa Municipal District. The capital of the district is the eponymous Dormaa Ahenkro . Dormaa Municipal borders the districts of Jaman South , Berekum Municipal , Dormaa East , Asutifi North , Asunafo North Municipal and Dormaa West as well as the neighboring state of Ivory Coast - all in the Bono Region .
