Dorothee Diehl

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dorothee Diehl (* 1967/1968) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Diehl was elected mayor of the city of Maintal in January 2001 , replacing her party colleague Erhard Rohrbach , who had not run for another term.

After allegations had been raised that Diehl had improperly used her company car for private purposes and spent an above-average amount of money on business meals and gifts, a voting procedure against her was initiated at the end of 2002. In the vote now taking place in May 2003, she was voted out with 93.9% of the votes, with a turnout of 40.3%. Until the election of a new mayor, the First City Councilor Erik Schächer (CDU) took over Diehl's duties on a temporary basis.

The following investigation into fraud and breach of trust was discontinued at the beginning of January 2004 against payment of a fine of 3500 euros .
