The Dorrel Rock is a 790 m high ledge in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It pierces the ice near the head of Pope Glacier on the Walgreen Coast, 10 miles southwest of the summit of Mount Murphy .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Leo E. Dorrel, Hospital Corpsman at Byrd Station in the Antarctic winter of 1966.
