The Dorsum Von Cotta is a dorsum on the north-eastern front of the moon that runs in a north-south direction through the Mare Serenitatis . It begins in the north south of the Linnaeus crater and ends in the south north of Sulpicius Gallus , where it meets Dorsum Buckland .
It was named in 1976 after the German geoscientist Bernhard von Cotta .
