Double You are an Italian Eurodance project that had some international hits in the early 1990s.

history

The big breakthrough came with the first release in 1992, a Eurodance version of the thirteen year earlier hit by KC and the Sunshine Band Please Don't Go . The song became a top 10 hit on the European continent, and a version by KWS released at the same time in Great Britain and the USA thwarted the Italians' bill. The English had a number 1 hit in their homeland and had a million seller in the States. For Double You there were only middle placements in the dance charts.

In Europe, on the other hand , the next top hit followed with We All Need Love . The debut album of the same name was then only moderately successful. The following singles also only achieved lower placements in Europe and interest in the band waned. In 1994 they had another dance hit in the USA with Run to Me and in Brazil their popularity lasted even longer, but then DJ de Antoni left the band and at the end of the 90s they slowly fell into oblivion, even if they continue to this day Singles released.
