The Doubská hora (German: Aberg ) is a 609 m high mountain in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers south of Karlovy Vary near Doubí above the Březová dam .

history

As early as 1848, a wooden lookout tower was built on Doubská hora , which offered one of the most comprehensive views in the area of ​​Karlovy Vary and was therefore popular with visitors, so that next to the tower several buildings were built to accommodate tourists, which make up the hotel that still exists today Aberg emerged. The wooden tower burned down and was replaced in 1905 by the stone tower by Ludwig Scheffler , which still exists today . The mountain inn has been rebuilt several times.

The Waldcafé St. Leonhard is on the ascent to the summit. To the northeast, below the summit, is the St. Leonhards Chapel next to the remains of a Romanesque church ruin in the village of Tiergarten.
