Dowa is a city 50 kilometers north of Lilongwe in Malawi in the central region and capital of the district of the same name , which has an area of ​​3041 km² and a population of 411,387 (2003). The city is connected to the national power grid. In 2018 it had 7,032 inhabitants (census).
