Downset ( spelling : downset. ) Is a crossover band from the USA that mixes hardcore punk with hip-hop influences. The band was formed in the mid-1980s in Los Angeles as "Social Justice", and in 1992 it was renamed "Downset".

history

In 1994, Downset's untitled debut album was released. This album contained the most famous song Anger . After 1994 the four of them continued when Rogelio Lozano left the band. Your second album from 1996 was called Do We Speak a Dead Language? .

In 1998 the drummer left and continued to work with Adema . Then Chris Hamilton joined the band and took over the part from Chris Lee. In 2000, Downset's third album Check Your People was released. Shortly thereafter, Chris Lee returned to the band. In 2004, their fourth album, Universal, was released. Rico Vallisenor had become part of Downset as a bassist.

In the summer of 2013 Downset played some concerts with a heavily changed line-up and released a new single called Forgotten .

In July 2014, One Blood, the band's first album in ten years, followed, which was again recorded in a constellation with three original founding members, including singer Rey Anthony Oropeza. On drums there was a switch back to Chris Hamilton, who was already heard on Check Your People (2000).

style
