Doxa Records is a music label that was founded in 1999 by R. Jäger and B. Offermann in Dresden . In 2008 the company moved to Berlin .

In terms of content, the label concentrated on experimental pop-rock music with electronic elements for the first five years. The first publications came from artists like Ming , Yuppie Flu and Fetish 69 . There has always been close contact with the Weilheim music scene. In the years that followed, two well-known artists, Hans Platzgumer and the German-Japanese trio Pitchtuner, were hired .

The focus on electronic music became the focus of the label, even if minimalist rock or rock-jazz bands like Gaffa and Tijuana Mon Amour Broadcasting Inc. still represented an important stylistic side. With the engagement of Vendas Novas and the musical development of the band Pitchtuner , the label was briefly reoriented towards New Rave .

The sub-label Smaul, founded in 2007, primarily presents the music of the Munich / Weilheim musicians Acid Pauli , FC Shuttle , Flug 8 and Hometrainer . With the artists Dolby Buster , Hometrainer , Odessa , Sonotheque , Skinnerbox and Turmspringer , the label increasingly turned to minimal house , experimental house and techno in a broader sense.
