The Dragon Bridge , in Vietnamese Cầu Rồng , crosses the Han River in the center of Da Nẵng in Vietnam . It is the sixth and newest bridge over the Han River and provides a direct connection between Da Nang International Airport and the hotels on My Khe Beach.

The Dragon Bridge takes its name from the three yellow arches in its central axis, which are continued on one side by a dragon's head and on the other side by its tail. The scorpionfish typically breathes fire for three minutes on Saturday and Sunday evenings, followed by a torrent of drizzle.

The 666.57 m long bridge has three lanes in each direction of travel and 2.5 m wide sidewalks, the railings and outer edges of which extend in serpentine lines from one bank to the other in line with the motto of the bridge. The yellow arches are located on the 6 m wide median, from which the roadway girder is suspended or supported by 2 × 3 hangers. The arches consist of 5 tubes that are held together by large clips. From a distance, the pointed metal sheets on the top look like the scales of a kite. The spans of the arches are 128 + 200 + 128 m. The dragon head protrudes 72 m above the road, the dragon tail 64 m. The road girder consists of two hollow boxes and a cantilevered concrete slab . The clearance under the central arch is 7 m.

The bridge is illuminated by 2500 LED lamps in different colors.

The bridge was designed by the Louis Berger Group and Ammann & Whitney, who have since merged into the WSP Group . In 2008 the design was approved and the groundbreaking ceremony took place on July 19. The Dragon Bridge was officially opened to traffic on March 29, 2013, the 38th anniversary of the conquest of the city of Da Nang by North Vietnamese troops in the course of the Vietnam War . On the same day, the Trần-Thị-Lý Bridge , 1.2 km further south, was inaugurated.
