action

Eileen Townsend and her two sons Max and Chris visit their uncle Gustav in Europe. Max and Chris soon discover strange things in the house, such as a wooden stake. Max immediately believes in vampires. He is fascinated by them and thinks that a powerful vampire lives in the town's castle. Chris, on the other hand, immediately falls in love with Sophie Metternich, who lives with Gustav to go to school in town.

Some time later, Eileen meets the successful banker Alexander Lucard. She takes Max and Chris to this meeting. Alexander Lucard makes a particularly good impression on Max and Chris. He likes rap music and MTV and offers Chris to play computer games with him. However, Alexander Lucard is none other than Dracula himself. Max and Chris don't know this at first. Max suspects his uncle Gustav to be a vampire. Therefore he fled to Alexander Lucard. Sophie and Chris run after him. They discover that Alexander Lucard is a vampire and flee together with their uncle Gustav who has hired them. This turns out to be the vampire hunter Gustav Helsing. Gustav, Sophie, Max and Chris try to thwart Dracula's plans together. They also protect the people Dracula would like to destroy.

Characters

Alexander Lucard (Dracula)

Alexander Lucard is a successful banker and one of the richest men in the world. In public he is extremely elegant and always friendly. However, he is also a little arrogant and very self-absorbed. He also hides the fact that he is a vampire. Therefore, he never tries to kill so many people that the police notice him. Alexander tries to destroy Gustav, Sophie, Chris and Max, but sometimes works with them. When Alexander Lucard fights against his archenemy Nosferatu, Max supports Alexander in the fight against him and in return is spared by Alexander Lucard. He also protects Gustav when a vampire hunter tries to kill him. Alexander Lucard had a relationship with Margo Burton. She is now married. Alexander still loves Margo. He feels more human in her presence. Margo left him after she found out he was a vampire, although Alexander protested that he could never hurt her. When Alexander meets Margo again, he wants to make her his companion, so he forces Margo to come to him. Only then does he want to spare her husband. When he realizes that Margo is fond of him, but is happier with her husband, he lets her go first. However, he ensures that the plane crashes with Margo and her husband. He believes that a life without love is the price he has to pay to be a powerful and rich vampire.

Gustav Helsing

Gustav Helsing comes from a generation of vampire hunters. He destroys vampires. At the same time, however, he is also a scientist and previously taught at the university. Gustav has a son named Klaus. This is a vampire. When a vampire hunter tries to destroy Klaus, Gustav warns Klaus. He later holds Klaus prisoner to find a way to make him human again. Gustav is the uncle of Chris and Max. Gustav is still in love with his childhood sweetheart Anna Dyson. However, she married a friend of his.

Sophie Metternich

Sophie Metternich lives with Gustav Helsing. She visits the local school and goes on a hunt for vampires with Gustav. Sophie falls in love with Chris, with whom she later has a love affair.

Chris Townsend

Chris Townsend is Max's big brother. He loves computer games and rap music. He also plays the electric guitar, enjoys singing and writing songs. Chris falls in love with Sophie and has a love affair with her, which he prefers to keep secret from his little brother.

Max Townsend

Max Townsend is Chris' little brother. He loves vampires and everything supernatural. He is initially fascinated by Dracula and wants an autograph from him. At the same time, however, he is afraid of him and tries to protect himself and his family from Dracula as much as possible.

Eileen Townsend

Eileen Townsend is the single mother of Chris and Max. She is a businesswoman and always on the go to get new jobs. So she asks her brother Gustav to take care of Chris and Max. However, she keeps visiting her children. Eileen is the only one in the family who doesn't know that vampires exist and is therefore always in danger.

Klaus Helsing

Klaus Helsing is the son of Gustav. He became a vampire 13 years ago and is a subordinate of Alexander Lucard. With his transformation into a vampire, Klaus has changed completely. The once very lovable, friendly son became a bloodthirsty vampire. Klaus has killed countless people, so even Alexander Lucard orders him to limit his hunt for people so that the police do not become aware of vampires. Since Klaus continues to kill on a large scale, Lucard wants to destroy this. However, Klaus is caught by his father. He wants to make Klaus human again.

Vampire picture

Just like in the Dracula novel , vampires can walk into sunlight. However, they do not have their powers in sunlight. If vampires want to enter a house, they have to be invited. If a person is bitten only once by a vampire, he becomes a kind of mindless zombie. The vampire who has bitten the people can communicate with them in their thoughts. This succeeds even when the person is very far away. If the bite site is touched with holy water, the transformation into a vampire is stopped. Once the transformation into a vampire is complete, this is no longer possible. After a transformation, the vampire curse can only be broken through an act of deep love for another person. Vampires cannot be captured in photo and video recordings. Some very powerful vampires, such as B. Nosferatu can change shape and take on the appearance of any person. Vampires can fly, but they must turn into bats to do so. Crosses protect against vampires and keep them away. If a vampire is stabbed through the heart with a stake, he dies. If a vampire is killed, it dissolves into nothing. All vampires kill and drink blood. However, there are some who cannot cope with their life as a vampire and their thirst for blood. They don't try to kill or drink blood. This endeavor almost always ends in the vampire's suicide.
