Kim Coates (born February 21, 1958 in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian actor .

Life

In the mid-1980s, Coates began his career at the Neptune Theater in Halifax , where he appeared in the West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet, among others . Shortly thereafter, Coates made his first appearance in a US film in The Boy in Blue .

In 1998, Kim Coates was nominated for the TV Gemini Award twice for the series Poltergeist - Die eheimliche Macht and Dead Silence - Flammen in der Stille .

His best-known roles in recent years have been Jack Richards in the war film Pearl Harbor , Charles Whittmann in the action film The Island, and Officer Thomas Gucci in the horror film Silent Hill . He was most recently seen in the television series Prison Break and Sons of Anarchy , since 2017 in a leading role in Bad Blood . His work includes more than 100 film and television productions.

Coates is married and has two children.
