Goon (German subtitle: Kein Film für Pussies ) is an American feature film directed by Michael Dowse from 2011 with Seann William Scott in the leading role.

action

Doug is a bouncer in a small pub in Orangetown . In his spare time, he and his friend Pat regularly watch ice hockey games in the stadium. During a game, a player from the opposing team feels offended by Pat and wants to attack him. However, Doug intervenes, takes a few hard blows from the player unimpressed and finally knocks him out. This notices Ronnie Hortense, the coach of the local ice hockey club, who then invites him to a trial session. There it comes to a serious fight in which Doug beats up several players. Doug joins the team.

Doug's job in the game is covering the attacking players and beating up opponents on the ice. When he receives the offer to play for a higher-class club, he goes to Halifax. His new team initially loses a lot of games. However, the tide turned after a couple of chance hits from Doug. Before one of the games, Doug meets the opposing player Ross, whom he has admired for several years, as Ross, like Doug, likes to beat up opponents on the ice. Ross tells him he wants to end his career at the end of the season and threatens to beat him up the next time they meet on the ice. However, since Doug is banned from this game, there is no direct encounter yet.

He meets Eva in a bar. She feels guilty about getting involved with Doug because she has a boyfriend. However, she is fascinated by him and keeps in touch with him. Only after a while does she find the courage to part with her boyfriend.

In a crucial game, Doug can block the puck with his face and thus help his team to victory. In the final decisive game, Doug's team meets Ross's team again. On the ice there is a direct confrontation between Ross and Doug. Although Doug is already badly injured, he is able to knock Ross out. Doug's team can ultimately win the game.
