action

An unspecified planet is doomed in a distant galaxy . The more highly developed life forms desperately send scouts to the most remote corners to track down a new uninhabited homeworld. After a long search, a military alien unit under the command of the unscrupulous Saylon finally finds the ideal refuge, even though it is inhabited - Earth . Saylon's followers mingle with the earth's population in human form and, with the help of Roderick, a local engineer, immediately start building a portal to connect their dying home planet with the earth. With the completion of the transition, the plan is for an alien invasion to take over the earth and enslave humanity .

Rykker, an alien warrior with self-healing powers and extremely rigid morals, follows the aggressors to earth on behalf of the extraterrestrial "guild" in order to stop their own species disguised as an FBI agent. While the group initially led by Isis - later Commander Saylon himself joins them - organizes the logistics of building the portal, the villains try to liquidate Rykker. This in turn searches for the foreigners and their whereabouts.

At a different time, Rykker meets the waitress Julie in a diner , who a little later is the only one who survives a brutal bloodbath of Saylon's supporters. In this tragedy, the young woman loses all living relatives, so that she willingly joins the supposed government official Rykker, who is reluctant to take care of her. From then on, the two unequal individuals form a team that has to defend itself against various attacks. Ultimately, Saylon's people manage to kidnap Julie , whereupon the dutiful Rykker tries to save his wards, which he succeeds. Left entirely to himself, he first switched off Saylon and later his former lover Isis in a disused power station , before he separated from Julie with a heavy heart to return to his home world. However, his return fails, so that he is doomed to stay after the portal is destroyed. At the end of the film, Rykker fights another alien group on Earth who are also planning to build a portal to preserve their race.

Reviews

"Cheap science fiction film with the 'look' of the 1990s, which puts its modest budget into computer effects and neglects the development of a convincing plot."
