Unstoppable (alternative title: 9 Lives , Nine Lives ) is an American action thriller from 2004. Directed by David Carson and written by Tom Vaughan .

Dean Cage, who previously worked for a CIA special unit , now lives in Baltimore . He is undergoing psychological treatment after his best friend Scott and the rest of the commando were killed on a mission in Bosnia .
Dean is close friends with police officer Amy Knight, Scott's sister. While waiting for Amy at the Chesapeake Diner , he is mistakenly mistaken for an FBI agent investigating the theft of a secret truth serum . The serum makes anyone to whom it is administered susceptible to suggestion and leads to death after six to eight hours if the person is not given an antidote in time.
The thieves inject him with the drug and kidnap Dean in an ambulance to a private mental hospital for interrogation. Triggered by the drug, Dean hallucinations and can no longer distinguish the real events from his memories of the deployment in Bosnia. He managed to escape from the private clinic and reached Amy's house, who was already looking for the antidote.
Reviews
Jeffrey Robinson wrote on DVDTalk.com that the film does not offer a plot that would be appealing to viewers, nor does it offer characters to really like.
The film service wrote that Unstoppable was a "last-class action film based on a ridiculous script" .

The film was shot in Los Angeles and Bulgaria . Its production amounted to an estimated 20 million US dollars . The film was released in selected US cinemas on October 30, 2004. In most countries such as Australia , Germany and Italy it was released directly on DVD or video - in Germany in September 2005.
