Cristian Solimeno (born April 27, 1975 in London , England ) is a British actor , dancer , screenwriter and director .

Life

Cristian Solimeno is of Irish - Italian descent and grew up in London. He attended Fine Arts College , where he graduated with the A-level exam . From the age of 19 he worked as an actor and director in London for various independent theater groups and at various theaters in the 1990s. For example, he played at the Off Broadway Theater in London. At the Globe Theater he played Pioratto in The honest whore by Thomas Dekker in 1998 . In 2009 he worked in the experimental theater production halfman / halfclam at the Freefall Theater .

Solimeno also took on several roles in film and television . He played several continuous series roles, recurring episode roles and guest roles. He gained particular fame with the role of "Bad Guy" Jason Turner , the married captain of a soccer team, in the British television series Footballers' Wives . He also starred in the British television series Police Doctor Dangerfield , Wycliffe , Strictly Confidential and Spooks-In the Sight of MI5 . In 2008 he took on the serial role of Detective Sergeant Chris Collins in Close Up - The Hill Method .

Solimeno also starred in several movies . In 2000, he starred opposite Katy Carmichael in the comedy Dead Babies . In 2004 he starred with Ray Liotta in the action thriller Unstoppable . In 2007 he was the demonic guardian in Highlander - The Source of Immortality .

In 2008 he was the director, producer and screenwriter of the short film Love . The film deals with the topic of euthanasia and draws the portrait and the inner struggle of a man who tries to help his seriously ill wife to her death. The film has been shown at several festivals, including the Gijón International Film Festival in 2008 , the Off Venice International Short Film Festival in 2009, the Rhode Island International Short Film Festival and the London Short Film Festival in 2010 .
