action

During excavations near a Catholic church, a coffin with an urn is discovered. The content of the urn consists of relics of the "mother of tears", an old witch. When the urn in the art museum in Rome is opened by Sarah Mandy and an assistant, some masked people kill the assistant. Sarah can escape - guided by a voice.

Meanwhile, the violence in the streets of Rome is reaching unimaginable proportions, whereupon Sarah starts further investigations. Suspected of being involved in the brutal outbursts of aggression, she is pursued by Detective Enzo Marchi while she searches for the true background of the incident. The voice that helped Sarah turns out to be the ghost of her mother who was killed fighting the " Mother of Sighs ".

With the help of her mother, Sarah finds the hiding place of the "mother of tears" and finally discovers her in an underground dungeon where a ceremony is being held. When the "mother of tears" wants to sacrifice Sarah, Sarah's witch powers unfold, with which she can destroy the last mother.

Reviews

“Inglorious conclusion to the mother trilogy (" Suspiria ", 1977;" Inferno ", 1980), which tells no comprehensible story and incites its heroine through a series of almost unimaginable atrocities. A nightmare in the true sense of the word. "
