Kim Thomson (born October 30, 1959 in Somerset , England ) is a British actress .

life and career

Kim Thomson was born in 1959 (according to other sources 1960) to a Scotsman and an Irishwoman . When she was three years old, her parents separated. She grew up with her paternal grandparents in Surrey . Kim Thomson learned her acting skills at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London .

Since the mid-1980s, the Briton has played at the West End Theater and other British regional theaters, as well as in television and cinema films on both sides of the Atlantic. She made her TV debut in Easy Money in 1982 at the age of 22 . In 1988 she got her first feature film starring role in the historical drama Time of Darkness (original title Stealing Heaven ) alongside Denholm Elliott and Derek de Lint . In 2008, Thomson played the role of Hughie Green's wife Claire in the BBC biography drama Hughie Green, Most Sincerely . Since March 2009 she has played Faye Lamb in the soap opera Emmerdale, which is broadcast on ITV .

In 2010 Kim Thomson graduated from the University of London with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and History . During the election campaign for the US presidential election in 2008, Kim Thomson campaigned for votes for Barack Obama in Nevada . In Britain, she supported Prime Minister Gordon Brown's policies .

In an interview with Inside Soap , Thomson admitted that she has had a boyfriend for a long time, but considers it her private business.
