Dragoș Staicu

Dragoș Staicu (born October 12, 1985 in Predeal ) is a former Romanian ski racer .

He took part in the Junior World Championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005, with his best result being 42nd place in Montgenèvre in 2003. In the World Cup he did not start, but took part in several FIS races in part.

In 2009 Staicu became the Romanian champion in giant slalom. Shortly thereafter, he reached 28th place in the downhill in Kope, Slovenia, qualifying for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . At the Olympic Downhill from Whistler Creekside , Staicu missed a goal shortly after the start and had to retire.
