The Drei-Kaiser-Wasserturm, also Neuenhauser Wasserturm, was a water tower in Cronenberg , which was built in the three-emperor year 1888.

The water tower was inaugurated on October 26, 1888 and, according to the decision of the city council on December 12, 1888, received three relief images of the three Kaiser Wilhelm I , Friedrich III. and Wilhelm II. The meeting said:

"... In view of the fact that the water tower and the waterworks were built in the 3rd imperial year 1888 and Cronenberg could not think of building a special imperial monument in its oppressive location, the chairman suggested decorating the tower with 3 imperial reliefs and the same name 3 imperial tower to be enclosed. ... It was located on the Hahnerberg on Neuenhaus Street in Cronenberg, which at that time belonged to the Mettmann district as a municipality . Today Cronenberg is a district of Wuppertal . At the Burgholzbach , the water from the creek was pumped to the nearby water tower by a pumping station. The relief work were carried out as terracotta - medallions of the Düsseldorf sculptor Leo Müsch which the later King James Jubilee Fountain was responsible. Carl Rumpff , the deputy and chairman of the supervisory board, donated 200  marks .

The former location of the water tower with the newly built pumping station

Until 1966 the water tower served the Cronenberg drinking water supply . Due to the threat of decay and a modern pumping station that was built next to the tower, the Drei-Kaiser-Wasserturm was decommissioned on February 26, 1966 and demolished in June of the same year. The medallions came to the historical center in Wuppertal in April 1977 , where they were stored in the courtyard of the Kannegiesser factory until a new use was to be found for them. But they had already disintegrated in 1991.
