The Hahnerberg [ hɑnɐˈbɐk ] is an approximately 330 meter high elevation in North Rhine-Westphalia, in the western urban area of Wuppertal in the Cronenberg district and is at the same time namesake for a residential area Hahnerberg .

In the northwest and west of the Hahnerberg lies the valley of the Burgholzbach with its numerous tributaries. The wooded slopes belong to the Burgholz state forest . To the south of Hahnerberg lies the center of Cronenberg, to the west is the protected Gelpe Valley . In the north, on the south heights , the Burgholz tunnel ends , and the state road 418 (L 418) leads north to the Ronsdorf district . From the L 418, the state road 427 (L 427) leads south, over the Hahnerberg to the center of Cronenberg.

Buildings

The top of the Hahnerberg is completely built on with housing developments.

From 1955 to 1985 there was a monastery of the Cross Brothers here .
