The Dreifaltigkeitskirche is a Catholic parish church in Offenburg .

description

The church was built between 1906–1908 according to plans by the Karlsruhe architect Johannes Schroth and was consecrated on October 18, 1908, after the five bells had already been inaugurated in September.

The church is designed in the style of a Romanesque basilica with a transept. The choir, side aisles and gallery have vaulted ceilings. The nave is provided with a simple wooden ceiling.

In the years 1910 to 1920, the equipment was completed, with the brothers Eduard and Rudolf Moroder (South Tyrol) and Peter Valentin the Elder being significantly involved. In 1912 the organ built by the organ builder Schwarz (Überlingen) was inaugurated. The Madonna in the organ prospect was designed by the former Offenburg art workshop operator Franz Josef Simmler and executed by the Morodern, his company successors.

In 1940 the bells were confiscated and melted down; In 1943/1944 the church was damaged by shell impacts. The damage was repaired as early as 1948 to 1950, and a new bell was inaugurated in 1949, cast by the Bachert bell foundry in Karlsruhe . The organ was rebuilt in 1959
