Dresden Fernsehen is a local Saxon television broadcaster for the Dresden metropolitan area .

history

It went on air for the first time on June 10, 1996 as an independent program, after having broadcast the regional program “Drehscheibe Dresden” regularly since September 26, 1994 on the Dresden frequency of RTL (regional window 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm), later VOX has been. In the beginning, Dresden Fernsehen's program consisted of the turntable, repeated every hour, and a screen newspaper with music.

In the meantime, until the end of 2002, a joint program for the Saxon metropolitan area broadcasters (Dresden TV, Leipzig TV , Chemnitz TV ) was designed under the name Sachsen TV by Sachsen TV GmbH & Co. TV-Betriebs KG . During this time there were also some older series, such as B. “ A Bavarian on Rügen ” and films by the Kirch group can be seen.

Sachsen Fernsehen GmbH & Co. Fernseh-Betriebs KG still held the broadcasting license of the Saxon State Media Authority for local television in Dresden until the end of 2016 , but after financial difficulties had transferred the production to regional partners. Until the end of 2005, ElbTV Film und Fernsehproduktion GmbH produced the program content for the station. Since January 2006 the program has been produced by the company Fernsehen in Dresden GmbH. Fernsehen in Dresden GmbH has also been the owner of the broadcast license since the beginning of 2017.

Since January 2017, Fernsehen in Dresden GmbH has also been responsible for the soundless passenger TV in Dresden's trams. It reaches around 231,000 passengers every day.

Current programs in the program

Currently u. a. the following programs can be seen in the Dresden television program:

  • Turntable Dresden - 20-30 minute regional magazine with daily news from Dresden and the surrounding area
  • Turntable Extra - 20-30-minute advertising broadcast in which companies and products from the region are presented.
  • Night Shift - 20-30 minute magazine broadcast with celebrity guests
  • Mitkoch-Show - 20-30 minute cooking show followed by an expert evaluation

And every Friday around 9 p.m. there are live drawings for the Eurolotto jackpot in the turntable

The regional television network Sachsen-Fernsehen ( Chemnitz , Dresden, Leipzig ) broadcast daily broadcast windows with the program of the controversial competition channel 9Live from January 1, 2007 . The "Mitmachsender" was to be seen daily from 12:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday from 23:30 to 2:00 and on the weekend from 10:00 to 2:00 (source: kress.de).
