Dresden fire insurance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dresden fire insurance was one of the largest fire insurance companies in the German Empire.

history

The insurance company was founded in 1873 under the name Landwirtschaftliche Mobiliar-Feuer-Versicherungs-Genossenschaft in the Kingdom of Saxony in Dresden . In 1907 the Mobiliar-Brand-Versicherungs-Genossenschaft zu Dresden was taken over and business activities were then expanded to the whole of the German Empire . Since the company was called Dresdner Feuerversicherung for short at an early stage , it also officially ran the Dresdner Feuerversicherung - Agricultural Fire Insurance in the Kingdom of Saxony since 1916 .

In 1950 Dresdner Feuerversicherung was dissolved and merged with Gothaer Versicherungsbank . The office building of Dresdner Feuerversicherung at Wiener Platz 1 in Dresden was burned out at the end of the Second World War .
