Dresden jug

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dresden jug was a liquid measure that was used in the Dresden region .

The following conversions were made:

  • 1 Dresden jug = 0.935588 liters
  • 47.165 Parisian cubic inches = 71.186 Dresden cubic inches
  • 9 Dresden jugs = 7 Leipzig gift jugs
  • 1 Dresden jug = 2 knobs = 8 cup measure
  • 1 Dresden bucket = 48 visor jugs = 72 Dresden jugs
  • 1 hut jug = 9 Dresden jugs
  • 1 shock jug = 60 Dresden jugs

In the Ore Mountains , a jug from the region was equated with one and a half Dresden jugs. Since the Leipziger Kanne was also valid in Dresden, it was called Leipzig-Dresdner Kanne, so many dimensions were related to one another:

  • 1 Leipzig jug = 0.93393 liters
  • 1 Leipzig visor jug = 1.4044 liters
  • 1 Leipzig teapot = 1.204 liters
  • 1 Ohm = 2 buckets = 4 anchors = 27 visor cans = 32 teapot cans = 31 ½ Leipzig cans = 36 Dresden cans
