Druck & Medien is a specialist magazine for the printing industry . The publication appears 6 times a year by Verlag Johann Oberauer GmbH. The editorial team also operates an editorial website under the title "druck-medien.net", which is one of the online offerings with the greatest reach in its field. Druck & Medien has presented the Druck & Medien Awards once a year since 2005 , most of which are presented in Berlin in autumn. In May 2010, Druck & Medien was named "Specialist Medium of the Year" by the Association of German Trade Press under its then editor-in-chief Clemens von Frentz .

The main target group of the magazine are managers of printing companies . Other target groups are the supplier industry ( printing press , paper and chemical manufacturers) and the “print buyers”, i.e. the customers of the printing companies.

history

The magazine emerged in 2000 from a merger of the titles "Druckwelt", "Polygraph" and "Offsetpraxis" and was sold at the beginning of 2004 by the Fachschriften-Verlag in Fellbach to Haymarket Media GmbH & Co. KG . The British parent company Haymarket Publishing , which was founded by the British publisher Michael Heseltine , was a sister magazine with Printweek . This magazine was sold to the British publisher Mark Allen in spring 2013. In December 2013, the Haymarket Media Group also sold its Australian sister magazine Proprint .

At the end of 2014, Haymarket separated from Druck & Medien again and sold the magazine together with PR Report and kressreport, which was only acquired in 2008, to the Austrian specialist media publisher Oberauer.
