Drumline (ensemble)

As Drum Line ( engl. : Drum line ) is a musical ensemble of drummers designates which often part of a marching band is. As a rule, snare drums , tenor drums , bass drums and cymbals appear in a drumline .

Drumlines are mainly found in North America, where military music has a long tradition. Here they are increasingly part of high schools and colleges as well as music corps ( drum corps ). So far, drumlines in Europe are only marginal phenomena that only became known to the public for a short time, most recently for example on the tour of the singer Peter Fox in the album Stadtaffe or the film " Drumline ".
