Jindires ( Kurdish Jindrêsê, Cindirêsê ; Arabic جنديرس Dschindiras , DMG Ǧindīras ; English Jindires ) is a small town and municipality in the Kurd Dagh Mountainsand belongs to the Afrin district in the Aleppo governorate in Syria . The small town of Jindires itself has about 10,000 inhabitants.
The municipality of Jindires includes a further 33 villages and 29 farms. Near Dschindires is the ancient settlement mound Gindaros . The Roman Catholic Church established the titular diocese of Gindarus for the submerged diocese of Gindaros .
