Dsunduin Changal
Dsunduin Changal (also: Zunduin Khangal , Mongolian Зундуйн Хангал ; born April 27, 1948 in Ulaanbaatar , Mongolian People's Republic ; † 1996 ) was a Mongolian composer of classical ("European") music .
He attended the music school in Almaty between 1968 and 1970 . Between 1970 and 1976 he studied at the Sverdlovsk Conservatory in the Soviet Union.
Standing in the tradition of Soviet music, he received the Mongolian State Prize for his string quartet (1972), for his violin concerto (1974) and for his ballet music Ėrdėnėsijn Uul ( Эрдэнэсийн Уул , 'Mountain of Treasures' ) (1982). In 2000 he was awarded the Mongolian State Prize again posthumously. He composed the score for around 20 films.
