Dušan Fitzel

Dušan Fitzel (born April 15, 1963 in Bojnice ) is a former Czechoslovak football player and current coach .

Fitzel played from 1983 to 1992 for Dukla Prague , for which he scored three goals in 158 games as a defensive midfielder. 1992 went to EPA Larnaka in Cyprus for two years , for which he played 42 times and scored three goals. He ended his career in 1995 with the then second division club FK Chmel Blšany .

His first coaching experience was with the Slavia Prague youth team . Between 1998 and 2005 he worked as a youth coach for the Czech Football Association , he was responsible for the U18, U19 and U20 national teams as the main coach. He worked as an assistant in the U-21 selection. In early 2005 he took over the national team of Malta . From June to December 2016, Fitzel was Pavel Vrba's assistant coach at the Russian first division club Anzhi Makhachkala . From July 2017 to June 2019 he was assistant coach at FC Viktoria Pilsen.
