The media company DuMont Rheinland , based in Cologne-Niehl, is a media company in the Rhineland. The media house DuMont Rheinland is one of four regional media houses of the DuMont media group .

History of DuMont Rhineland

The history of DuMont is based in Cologne and began at the beginning of the 17th century.

On January 1, 2009, the DuMont division in Cologne was transferred to an independent company and operates under the name Verlag M. DuMont Schauberg Expedition of the Kölnische Zeitung GmbH & Co. KG.

At the beginning of 2015, the publisher M. DuMont Schauberg Expedition of the Kölnische Zeitung GmbH & Co. KG became the media house DuMont Rheinland . It is responsible for the listed media as well as the different marketing units that act for the portfolio.

The DuMont media group is still responsible for the overall strategy of the Cologne media company as well as the houses in Berlin, Hamburg and Halle. Since January 2019, all regional media houses and all other business areas have been communicating under the uniform umbrella brand "DuMont".
