Radio Berg is the local radio for the Oberbergischer Kreis and the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis . It went on air on October 7, 1995 and received its license from the State Media Authority in North Rhine-Westphalia . Wiebke Breuckmann has been editor-in-chief since June 2017.

program

Radio Berg broadcasts eight hours of local programming every day. This includes Monday to Friday, the morning show "Morning" that is sent between 6am to 10am and the afternoon program "Afternoon", which begins in 2018 two hours earlier and thus at 14 o'clock July 30, and at 18 o'clock ends. Every half hour, local news from Radio Berg comes with weather and traffic reports for the broadcast area. At the weekend, “Am Sonntag” (9 am to 12 pm) is part of the local program. Radio Berg also broadcasts citizens' radio on its frequencies in accordance with the statutory provisions . This can be heard Monday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The rest of the program and the news on the hour are taken over by the broadcast program provider Radio NRW . In return, Radio Berg broadcasts an hourly advertising block on Radio NRW.

Radio Berg can be received in the Oberbergischer Kreis and the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis on the following four frequencies:

  • 96.9 MHz for the northern Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis (transmitter Opladen , 500 W)
  • 99.7 MHz for the southern Rheinisch-Bergisch district (transmitter Köln-Poll , 500 W)
  • 105.2 MHz for large parts of the Oberbergischer Kreis and the eastern Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis ( Lindlar transmitter , 4 kW)
  • 105.7 MHz for the southern Oberbergischer Kreis ( Waldbröl transmitter , 1 kW)
